{I made that}

oh dear friends.

we have been all over in the past two weeks.
i'm talking driving from texas, through new mexico, through arizona, to las vegas, to california, back to vegas, then to provo.

currently, we are attempting (aka i am avoiding) the big moving in at our old/new place.

however, i have discovered something fantastic.
i helped do the pattern for this top.
i really wanted one in purple, but i don't think that's one of shade's colors.

whatevs. i made that.

farewell texas

Tomorrow we hit the road
for yet another 20 hour road trip.
This time, we travel away from Texas -
away from these lovely things you missed out on
as experienced by our sole two visitors...

Sprinkles Cupcakes.

The Nasher Sculpture Museum.

The Nasher.

Johnny B's burgers.
Grapevine Main Street.

The Underground City - which was less of a city and more of an arrangement of tunnels.

The Modern in Fort Worth.
The Fort Worth Cattle Drive - which was less of a stampede and more like twelve cows.

Bluebell ice cream. But if you were lucky, Jade flew home with some for you.

I AM SO BORED OF PACKING!!

In avoiding this dreadful task, I have found that Payless has some kickin shoes for fall...
If I show you, promise you won't buy them all out before I get to go try them on?

Trust me, there are PLENTY more....

We got the sunglasses from the Sunglasses Game.
Here's a sneak peek at our pics before they go live at the sunglasses blog.
Just a short little clip of a progression of pictures.

a very un-merry birthday!!

For my sister's 21st birthday, she wanted to go to Disneyland.
And in a rite of passage type way, she wanted to dress up like a princess.
In case you didn't know...
Only children 9 and under can wear costumes at Disneyland.
Also, if you are having your 21st birthday and are wearing a costume,
they will be REALLY MEAN to you about wearing a costume, will call security, and will make the birthday girl want to cry!

Which is too bad because I made this cute little ensemble for the birthday princess
(the underneath was intended to be the outside of the skirt).
Align Center
In line for the Tiki Room, Tia and Brea decided to hula to the music.

Lauren ended up wearing the lining on the outside so she could go to Disneyland.
Kickin Nightmare Before Christmas hats and upside-down pictures!

Princesses in front of the castle!!
At the end of the night, Lauren decided that she hated Disneyland and would never again return
(I'm hoping that was just in the heat of the moment).
So much for the Happiest Place on Earth...

{husband tag}

My cousin tagged me, so I will respond.
This is the man I married.

1. What is his name? Bradley Ryan Royal
2. Who eats more? Brad. I cook for four - one serving for me and three for Brad.
3. Who's the social butterfly? Probably more me than him.
4. Who is taller? He is. If this said who is tall, the answer would be neither.
5. Who is smarter? Me. I'm a prodigy.
6. Who is more sensitive? It depends. Usually me, unless it's about love and stuff, then him.
7. Who does the laundry? We have a laundry fairy that magically transforms the dirty clothes in the hamper into folded, clean clothes in my drawer.
8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? My right? While laying in bed, facing the ceiling, he does in Provo; I do right now.
9. Who pays the bills? That would be me.
10. Who cooks more? That would also be me.
11. Who is more stubborn? It's pretty close. Which makes for some awkward times for the neighbors when I'm being very vocally stubborn.
12. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? I'm never wrong and Brad doesn't like to admit to it when I tell him he's wrong.
13. Who has more siblings? Me, by one.
14. Who wears the pants in the relationship? We fight over them.
15. What do you like to do together? Eat. That's about all we have in common.
16. Who eats more sweets? More as in different kinds? Me. More as in quantity? Refer to #2.
17. Guilty Pleasures? The OC. We feel like losers but love it. Also, french fries - but only the little crispy small ones. I guess we have three things in common.
18. How did you meet? I was wearing a Format shirt and he asked if I liked them. Then he stalked me like a creep-o (jk Brad I love you).
19. Who asked whom out first? Brad. Two months after meeting me because I was intimidating.
20. Who drives? He does usually. Apparently I'm not skilled enough.
21. Who proposed? Brad.
22. His best features and qualities? He's been moving me in and out of apartments/houses (usually up/down 3 flights of stairs) for like four years - that's dedication. He also let's me shop sometimes. Also, he can play some mean guitar and Halo.
23. Tag you’re it... Let's go with...
I know tagging can be lame, but let's be honest, they're good get-to-know-you questions....

it's my party!

Some photos from my b-day hangout with b-rad.

We had dinner at this bar that had really good fries and burgers.

And went to the W Hotel's Craft Restaurant for dessert.

That gap in the hotel on the left hand side is the infinity pool.

The week before I made a bunch of paper chains to hang all over the house...
Those are our summer watercolor paintings on the wall.

Of course, some birthday polas.
(those shoes were only $16 at the Nine West Outlet!!)

I loved having Brad to run around Dallas with for my birthday.
After another unsuccessful attempt to see the Cattle Drive
due to a kidney stone flare-up,
we watched Harry Potter and drugged the Brad
before going to the pretty mall (Northpark) for some shopping.
Then we played in the city eating lots of food.

Hooray!!
