i love the idaho.

Every year, my mom's side gets together for a giant family reunion.
This event is preceded by a smaller family reunion at my grandpa's farm aka my uncle's farm.
clockwise: tia ran around and i took pictures of her; brad followed tia around and did the same poses; the cool kids climbed tall structures; my photos don't do the fireworks justice; the most giant marshmallows i've ever seen; a gathering - the farmhouse was my #1 choice for a wedding location; yoga - elbow stand; yoga - side picasina? spell check? aka brad's breakdancing tryout. ABDC what?!; you know it's a miyasaki gathering when there is a heavy emphasis on dessert.

family reunion.
yep. picture taking is probably the most popular event.

i don't know about you, but i'm pretty sure that heaven looks a little something like this...

yes my friends, this is the real time of this post. what am i doing? making my cake of course.
pray for it to work out.

San Diego

In conjunction with the wedding, we played at the beach...
(Brad made himself a recliner in the sand... and Kellen ate the sand??)

And we went to the San Diego Zoo...
(Top left: sometimes I feel bad for Brad, then I remember how awesome of a wife I am and then I don't feel bad anymore.
Right column: I think we all think Kellen is still a little child - luckily, he humors us.)

(My grandma collected elephants, so naturally, we all like them a lot. Tia especially. Don't you love her new phone charm?? haha.)

**just married**
(and by "just" I mean a month ago)

Dearly beloved,
we are gathered here today to remember the wedding of
Little Miss Risa to Mr. Eric Chidester...

That's right my friends, my sister is married!
We took a lovely little jaunt down to San Diego
for her wedding in the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park.

And my favorite images from the day:

Congratulations little poopy!

on the road again...

In an attempt to be a thorough life document-er, I tend to backtrack a lot on le blog.

For example, these pics are a little teaser for some time we spent in San Diego to attend the nuptials of a sibling:
As you can see by these photos (of the Wonderbus we saw at the gas station/Jack in the Box - they let us look inside and basically, I want one - and of the hat I gave Kellen to shade him from the sun/the gold medal he let me wear for coming up with this genius solution), the trip was pretty killer.

And so, I've been thinking of which photos I want to post (and thinking about the yard sale tomorrow) instead of going to bed since I'll be waking up in less than 7 hours to try to run a 5k at the buttcrack of dawn. Seriously, who's idea was that?!

Happy 4th of July!!

Hey everybody.
We're currently kickin' it in Idaho (Miyasaki Family Reunion yeah!!)...
and the sunglasses began their journey this past week!
This year, we went for a patriotic theme aka I wanted colored sunglasses and these ones were pretty killer.
Here's our photo contributions from our week in San Diego
(photos taken June 21, 2010 - the first day of summer).
