| Our last humble abode, and longest living streak since I left home in 2004. |
No matter how long we're staying somewhere, I always put in a little bit of effort to make our house a home. It's never "finished" and I usually change it up a lot, but I have this philosophy that a space feels more happy if you don't feel like you're living amongst boxes as a nomad (even though half of the time I am). And I think that I like people better and feel better and enjoy life more when I feel a sense of order and comfort.
So even though we only planned on living in this apartment for 5 months (one of which will be spent living a minimalistic, nomadic, transient lifestyle while our stuff sits in storage, and I stick it out in the apartment with leftovers and suitcases, and Brad moves to New England with the necessities of life), I still spent the time to make it look lovely. And good thing too because it was probably one of my favorite spaces yet.

but that's mostly all from the last two years. those first two years of your marriage I was pretty much just in that place with Hilary. wow. here's the good news: I am not settling down anytime soon.

yeah. I've moved a lot too in the last years. I'm done. For a while at least. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm filling out tons of applications for the bar exam (ughhhh it's hard work becoming a lawyer) and I ran out of space to list all the places I've lived since I turned 18 (every time I move I have to list it). So I had to list them all on a separate sheet of paper. It's ridiculous. After I move home for the summer and then move when I start working I will never move again...for at least a full year.
