Still Moving...

I'm packing our bags. For reals this time. No more clubhouse (like below), but an empty house void of tv, messes, and the constant dishwasher-ing of bottles.
I've emptied out one bedroom. While cleaning it, I realized that this is the first time in YEARS that I have to do the cleaning that's part of the moving process. Brad usually does that. And the dishes. And the laundry. And the vacuuming.
How on earth am I surviving?!

As for the baby, he doesn't really eat apples. He just likes to suck on them and try to bite them with his two bottom teeth. I think it makes him feel like a grown up baby. Which is very important thing to Sir Beckham.

Mental Push Ups

I've been doing a LOT of thinking lately. Mostly about what I do with my time. My interests and hobbies vary ALL across the board, and I've always had trouble narrowing it down which results in a giant mess of unfinished projects.

Recently, I've been missing writing. What? Yes. My 15 credit English minor consisted mostly of creative writing courses. Lately, I've been getting the itch to write... something.

I had John from Topsy Hair draw this lovely - Brain Exercises. Because I think writing will be like milk for my brain - no, more like push ups (since drinking milk is not half as hard as a push up). Come to think of it, I should probably start doing real push ups too....

So now universe, I've written it on the blog... so it will come to pass. Kind of like how everything I pin on Pinterest comes to pass....

today...

was less yucky than yesterday. But not entirely un-yucky. Why you ask? I don't know. Just one of those moods. My mom suggested PMS.
"PMS? Mom. I don't get PMS."
"Yeah, you get into 'these moods' instead. That's basically what PMS is, dear."

And so went my health lesson for the day.

On an entirely unrelated note, UK (Uncle Kellen, but whenever I say that, I see "UK" in my head) aka my lovely little brother aka puppy brought Beck's play blanket and toys into the kitchen like a nice little brother. And since the Beck was so happy, we called up his father to say hello.
Which lasts for about three seconds until he tries to eat the iPad.

That one time...

we saw the Hunger Games. Which I have been looking to for AGES!
Lauren got us all these sexy mockingjay pins, and we all wore firey colors.
Between the two of us, Lauren and I could have fed the entire country of Panem with all the snackage we brought in.
Our lovely lunch of lamb stew over wild rice, yummy beautiful rolls, goat cheese, and pink lady apples. (** The wild rice is just rice-a-roni, wild rice style) Don't you love my ghetto attempt at a silver parachute?

And the photobooth at the theatre? SO SMART!!
I love that is has the cool Hunger Games border.

Can you tell what we're portraying?

Also, how did you feel about the movie?

It's been long enough since it came out that I feel it's fine to talk about it.

I was looking forward to the development of the relationships (Peeta-Katniss, Katniss-Gale, Katniss-Rue, Peeta-the world...) and I felt a little bit jipped... Did you?

Easter Weekend

Yes, you read that right. Easter! Something semi-relevant (because most of my posts are so old that they are irrelevant, but dude, take what you can get!).

Easter started on Saturday with an attempt from EBEW to wear pastels (me? pastels? oh yes it happened), a trip to Target con mi sister (in which I bought more things than were necessary - and not exciting things either: formula, sippy cups, blah blah blah), and some lovely crafting. This peeps thing made me laugh a lot so I really wanted to make it!
Gap Outlet cardi that's really old, $5 Shade tee one size up (love this), older $10 Forever 21 jeans - I LOVE these - so cheap, Target Isaac Mizrahi sandals (yep, they're THAT old that Isaac Mizrahi was still making stuff for Target)... oh how I'm dreaming of some red or coral or cobalt pants to make this outfit AMAZING...

Then real Easter happened on Sunday and Beck got all kinds of Swag in his bowl? Yeah, it was a dollar and I figured I could use it. Brad's bowl consisted of a toothbrush and 37 Reese's eggs, and mine had a toothbrush, sunglasses, and small foundation brush (nothing worth looking at).

This is my child pooping his Easter-outfit pants, and the resulting second Easter outfit.

We celebrated with a lovely walk to the sunny park...
Yep, those are my sexy toes... compliments of Topsy Hair, and the same Shade shirt that I felt was Easter appropriate. Oh, and my AWESOME Easter bowl sunglasses! $13 at Target - I've been wanting them for a year people, so it was time to snag them up!
and a cre-EGG-tion (yep, I just put the word "egg" into "creation" which is SOOO clever) made up of a poached egg, canadian bacon, plum tomatoes, goat cheese, and asparagus. I was pretty, pretty impressed with my culinary skills.

I swear my kid likes going on walks. He just wants to look too cool for school or something.
And so it was.

(PS I am FINALLY able to sleep at night thanks to my lovely child finally sleeping at night... but I feel for everyone who gets that "can't go to sleep" bug like I've suffered from for the past... forever. So yay more middle of the night posts! You're welcome lovers!)

The Grand Finale

In case you weren't already sick of seeing pictures of us in sunny Mexico... I found some more on the point and shoot camera! YAY!!! These are in 0 order do to the fact that I am feeling SUPER lazy... but the pictures are still really happy.
Beck loved being carried the majority of the week...
One night, Brad lovingly played babysitter so I could go dancing... we ending up staying out for like three hours! We'd go to the bar and ask for waters... haha.
 Brad ate lots of desserts.
The first fancy night - Brad didn't wear sunscreen on his face...
They had a little "game" called "The Game of Love" where dudes had to do silly things... so I convinced Brad to do it... He had to act like Tarzan, put a tennis ball in an ice cream bucket (good family reunion game - take note), dance scandalously, and describe what I was wearing from memory. We were like 3rd/4th place - yay - and Brad won this lovely bottle of I don't know what and a fancy shmancy medal! I was so proud of his silliness.
 Sick days in Puerto.

And, as a little gift, I scheduled this post for the middle of the night in case someone has a night like I did the other day in which I kept refreshing google reader at 2 am hoping for an update on someone's blog. I received none, but now, if you are having that moment right now, it's your lucky day!!

Gone cruisin'

While we were on our cruise, our baby cut his first tooth! He was a total trooper about it, and it worked out great since I was slinging him everywhere anyways.
Kareoke
Apparently I make this face a lot

Mexico.

Oh how going through these pictures makes me miss the beach! The sun! The sand! The constant slinging of the baby!

I absolutely LOVED Cabo San Lucas. Jumping off this rock was super scary but fun.
I loved the vendors all over Medano Beach. Yes it's touristy blah blah blah whatever... But there was something about it that was just so... quaint almost.
When we got to Puerto Vallarta, Brad and I were both not feeling awesome. We walked to this beach and slept for like two hours...

Miss Britt becomes a Mrs.

Remember that time in March that I became a slave to the sewing machine? The result was a dress for myself for this lovely event. Which resulted in a LOT of pictures.

Britt got married, and she couldn't have picked a lovelier bunch of girls...
In the morning, we met at the Capitol Building in Salt Lake for pictures... so we ran around and took our own.

This is one of my favorites...
And so is this one...
I loved this elevator too...

This staircase reminded me of Harry Potter....
We also took part in some interpretive posing...
People kept asking us if we were all getting married... so we wanted to take a sister wives picture... We searched all over for a statue of a man, and ironically, we found this one. I'm pretty sure this is so blasphemous that we will be punished for it.

Congrats Britt! You're the best.
